RKL Wealth Management Announces Change in Leadership

LANCASTER, PA (September 5, 2018) – RKL Wealth Management LLC (RKL WM), a subsidiary of RKL LLP, today announced Laurie M. Peer, CPA, CFP®, has been named President, effective September 1, 2018. Peer succeeds in this role Sarah Young Fisher, CFP®, ChFC®, MSFS, CAP™, CASL™, CLU®, who led the firm since 2005. Fisher has assumed the role of President Emeritus.

In her new role as President, Peer will oversee firm operations, drive its growth strategy, lead the team of more than 20 professionals and continue to enhance the integration of client experience between RKL WM and RKL’s CPA and business advisory services. Peer previously served as the firm’s Executive Vice President and is also a Partner of RKL LLP. She joined RKL in 1992 and holds a B.S. in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University.

Peer belongs to the Reading Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and serves as Board Member and Vice President for the Berks County Estate Planning Council. She sits on the board of the United Way of Berks County and is a member of the organization’s Planned Giving, Strategic Planning and Investment committees. Peer resides in Alsace Township with her husband.
During Fisher’s 13-year tenure as President, RKL WM experienced tremendous growth and success on behalf of its clients, surpassing the $1 billion in assets under management/advisement at the end of 2017. In her new role as President Emeritus, Fisher will continue to serve the wealth management needs of her clients full-time and also serve in an advisory capacity to the RKL WM team, imparting her decades of client service and business development acumen to the firm’s next generation of advisors and leaders.
A resident of Lancaster, Fisher is active with many community causes and organizations, including the Lancaster County Foundation Investment Committee, the YMCA Foundation Board, Hospice of Lancaster County’s Planned Giving Council and the PA Dutch Council Board. She is also the author of four books relating to individual financial advice.
